Switzerland still knows more than 500 different types of cherry and there are the most cherry trees per capita in Switzerland. For our organic cherry we source the cherries from northwestern Switzerland, Baselland and Fricktal, one of the most important cherry growing areas. From the Jura heights to the banks of the Rhine, the cherry trees stand on chalky and barren soils. They give the distillate an intense and characteristic aroma. The partly very old cherry varieties that we use for our organic cherry are small, mostly deep black and typical burning cherries.
