Rosewater - what is it?
Rosewater is a true all-rounder, long valued in the cosmetics industry. You can use rosewater to pamper yourself from head to toe. And that's not all! Rosewater also adds flavor to all kinds of food and drinks.
Rose water is actually a byproduct of the production of precious rose oil. It is rich in valuable ingredients, making it a sought-after active ingredient in natural cosmetics.
The technique of distilling rose oil and rose water from the blossoms of fragrant roses has been known since antiquity. Rose water is the condensed water vapor produced during rose oil extraction.
The rose water contains the water-soluble ingredients of the rose blossom, while the fat-soluble active ingredients remain in the rose oil.
The effects of rose water:
- antibacterial
- anti-inflammatory
- decongestant
- skin-tightening
- Rose water binds free radicals and is therefore an antioxidant.
- regulates the skin's moisture balance
